Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to prepare the operating room and assist the surgical team across a variety of procedures. You will set up instruments, pass supplies, and help maintain a sterile environment for optimal patient care.

The role requires adaptability and a strong team mindset to support complex surgeries. Training on-site will reinforce aseptic technique and efficient OR workflow within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED with two years of surgical experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (or equivalent certification) required on hire.
• CPR/BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team in scrub role and maintain sterile field.
• Pass instruments, sutures, medications, and sponge materials to surgeon.
• Support tissue retraction and suctioning as directed by surgeon.
• Perform surgical counts with RN per policy.
