The University of North Carolina at Greensboro seeks a Student Support Facilitator (Temporary Staff) to provide 1:1 peer support to students in the Integrative Community Studies program, totaling 15 hours weekly with additional admin time. UNC Greensboro supports students with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Education (CTPE) program while enrolled in the Integrative Community Studies, a four-year certificate that emphasizes self-determination, life planning, and career development. Students completing requirements for graduation receive a certificate in Integrative Community Studies, awarded by the Office of the Provost at UNCG. The CTPE Office provides academic coursework and instruction; coordination and support with academic and student affairs units across campus; and direct 1:1 academic and student life support.
This position will provide 1:1 peer support for 15 hours per week with an additional 5 hours per week of administrative support and/or planning/scheduling. The role works directly with students with intellectual disabilities enrolled in the Integrative Community Studies (ICS) / Beyond Academics Certificate program. Examples of support may include academic support, social skills support, and/or living skills support.
$15 per hour
