Job summary

The University of North Carolina Greensboro seeks a part-time peer support specialist for its Comprehensive Transition and Postsecondary Education program. This role involves providing vital academic and social skills support to students with intellectual disabilities, working directly with them for a total of 15 hours per week. Ideal candidates will have an in-progress Bachelor’s degree related to social or human services, and experience in mentoring or tutoring is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress in a related field.
• Experience in mentoring or tutoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 academic support for students in the Integrative Community Studies program.
• Assist students with social skills and living skills.
