• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years’ experience in centralized academic advising or student service-related work.
• Experience with transfer planning and counseling referrals.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic and transfer advising services to established students and prospective individuals seeking information about Macomb.
• Provide first-semester course planning for new students, helping with course suggestions based on preparation and pathways.
• Deliver proactive services via in-person, virtual, phone, walk-in, group, and online modalities to support enrollment trends and campus changes.
• Utilize a caseload approach with monitoring, proactive outreach, referrals, and documentation of student interactions to support improvement and compliance.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and counseling services to promote student success and refer undecided students for career planning.
• Interpret and communicate college policies, procedures, and students’ rights and responsibilities.
