Job summary

Hope College is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Student Support and Retention to join the Boerigter Center for Career and Calling. The role focuses on intervening, educating, and referring students to campus resources while supporting initiatives for student success.

The coordinator will advise students in FOCUS, SOAR, and AIR programs, provide crisis and case management support, and collaborate with campus partners to create a network of academic and personal support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, or related field requested.
• Master’s degree in education, social work, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in student support or crisis management.
• Experience engaging diverse communities with strong collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with case management systems like Maxient and related software.

Responsibilities

• Provide intervention, outreach, and referral support to students needing additional assistance.
• Advise and coach students in FOCUS, SOAR, and AIR programs as primary staff.
• Collaborate with campus offices to identify students in need and refer to resources.
• Utilize Maxient to track cases and monitor follow-up progress.
• Support CARE Team with case management and data tracking.
• Serve on college committees related to student success and advising activities.
