Job summary

The Navigator at the Technical College of the Lowcountry will provide intrusive advising, onboarding, orientation, coaching, career assessment and guidance to students from application to graduation. The role involves teaching First Year Experience courses and managing a diverse caseload to support guided pathways.

Responsibilities include tracking student progress, coordinating early alert interventions, and communicating with faculty and student services to ensure up-to-date program knowledge

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and experience in Student Services programs.
  • Bachelor’s in education, communication or pathways area; 1 year of student services/advising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise students and groups on personal, social, financial, career and academic matters.
  • Manage advisee caseload and maintain accurate records in the student success system.
  • Lead early alert program and coordinate with faculty and student support services.
  • Reach out to high-risk, first-generation, or probation/suspended students.
  • Collaborate with faculty to keep program knowledge up to date; communicate changes to colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Admissions, Enrollment, & Student Success.
