Job summary

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Success Navigator to provide comprehensive, case-managed academic advising from entry to completion or transfer. You will work with students across LWTech programs and coordinate with faculty and campus partners to support progress and success.

The role involves proactive outreach, degree planning, and referrals to campus resources. Teleworking is available 2–3 days per week, with a standard 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least one year of academic advising, educational planning, career advising, or case management in a higher education setting; OR
• Associate’s degree with at least three years of advising experience; OR
• Some college and at least five years of advising experience in a higher education setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload with proactive, individualized academic advising from entry through completion or transfer.
• Evaluate placement information and both high school and college transcripts.
• Develop degree plans and assist students with course selection and registration.
• Explain degree, certificate, and program requirements.
• Help students navigate college processes, policies, and resources.
• Provide transfer and career planning support.
• Use EAB Starfish and other student systems to monitor academic progress, respond to alerts, document advising interactions, and develop degree plans.
• Collaborate with faculty, deans, and campus partners regarding program requirements and student progression.
