Job summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents seeks a Student Success Advisor to track and assist students from pre-enrollment to completion, helping them overcome barriers to college success. You will build relationships, monitor progress, and coordinate with faculty and staff to support retention.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, supporting new student orientation, delivering trainings, and utilizing SIS to manage data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent
• Two years’ experience delivering direct support/services to students in a higher education setting with a wide-ranging student body
• Master’s degree preferred
• Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic or Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students to help them achieve goals
• Review progress and track use of academic support services
• Identify factors hindering progress and apply retention strategies
• Coordinate with faculty and staff to improve student support
• Maintain accurate tracking data and notes for each student
• Support recruitment of new students
• Create and conduct trainings/workshops for students and staff
• Develop and implement retention activities
• Participate in orientation and first-year experience activities
• Utilize SIS and work in a computerized office environment
