Florida SouthWestern State College is seeking a Student Success Advisor II to join the Office of Academic Advising. This role provides direct advising, supports student development, and guides learners toward retention and completion in alignment with College policies and mission.

The position emphasizes student-centered service, collaboration with faculty and staff, and proactive outreach to help students navigate academic pathways and achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in counseling, education, social science, or related discipline.
• One year of full-time, professional work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Experience using personal computers and office software including Microsoft Office and email applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advising services from initial contact through program completion.
• Develop advising materials and presentations for individual and group sessions.
• Manage a caseload and support retention and graduation goals.
• Review degree evaluations and transfer credits to help educational planning.
