Job summary

Missouri Baptist University is seeking a full-time Student Success Advisor to provide early academic and personal support to enrolled students. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Success, you will address study skills, time management, major and career planning, scheduling, and campus life opportunities.

You will log interactions in Spartan Connect, coordinate referrals, offer resiliency coaching, and use data to proactively assist students in achieving their goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and 2 years related professional experience with prior training in special needs coordination.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic processes including scheduling classes, academic plans, and program requirements.
• Act as a liaison for students assisting them with Wellness Wheel related matters.
• Assess students’ complex needs and make appropriate referrals.
• Accurately maintain, document, and track all student interactions through Spartan Connect and use data to proactively assist students.
• Provide resiliency coaching and skills training and evaluating student success.
