Job summary

Baptist College is seeking an Academic Success Coach to promote a positive learning experience, boost student retention, and aid in degree completion. You will assist students with goal setting and maintain ongoing communication to maximize progress.

The role requires 8 hours/day, 5 days/week, with potential weekend hours. Collaboration with advisors and instructors is essential to support student success and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Reading, Mathematics, Counseling, Psychology or Education.
• Two (2) years of higher education experience, Counseling, Psychology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching to students for academic success.
• Collaborate with advisors, instructors and coordinators to address student issues.
• Track student progress and attendance through communication and analytics.
• Refer students to campus resources as needed.
• Lead early intervention and follow-up for assigned Early Alert students.
• Assist students in setting and achieving academic goals.
• Design and coordinate transition and retention programming.
