Job summary

St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens seeks an Academic Advisor to provide ongoing advisement, tracking and support for a substantial caseload from enrollment through degree completion, ensuring each student has an up-to-date Student Success Plan, and intervening to maintain enrollment and progression toward on-time graduation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, education, or other discipline deemed relevant by the University.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned and significant caseload of students and provide academic, career, and personal guidance to promote progression, retention, and completion.
• Serve as the advisor for online and on-ground students.
• Provide advising to undergraduate and graduate students.
• Assist with coordination between the Student Success Center and the Registrar's Office.
• Assist with class schedules and other responsibilities that impact the working relationship between offices.
• Advise the Director on policy and procedure changes to improve workflows and collaboration.

Education
