Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students in elementary to high school, helping them improve academics, attendance and behavior. You’ll plan and monitor progress and partner with teachers to support classroom instruction and student services.

The program includes training, ongoing coaching, and a benefits package with health/dental/vision insurance, relocation support, a bi-weekly living stipend and educational awards. Eligible candidates are U.S.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training.
• Support teachers and staff throughout the school day.
• Assist with academic coaching and behavior development.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 or in small groups.
• Plan and monitor student progress with teachers.
• Support enrichment and intervention programs before/after school.
• Create a safe and engaging classroom space in collaboration with staff.
