Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to achieve academic success and improved attendance in elementary to high school settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers and school staff to support individual and classroom progress.

You’ll receive training and a bi-weekly living stipend, with benefits and relocation support as part of City Year location packages. The program emphasizes service, growth, and community impact.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and listening skills for coaching students.
• Ability to work with teachers and staff to support student progress.
• Wlexibility to support various grade levels and programs.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers on class instruction and student support.
• Help create engaging, safe, and productive classroom spaces.
• Support after-school and extended-day programs.
• Maintain records of student progress and participate in data reviews.
