Job summary

City Year is seeking an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as part of AmeriCorps in Massachusetts. This paid, full-time role focuses on coaching and mentoring students to boost academic success, attendance, and positive behaviors in school.

You’ll receive 2–4 weeks of training and work with teachers throughout the year. Eligibility includes U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, being 17–25 by July 1, 2025, and having a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• As no prior experience is required, 2–4 weeks of training are provided at the start of the year.
• Be 17–25 by July 1, 2025 and have a GED/high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be eligible to begin City Year by July/August 2025.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success, attendance, and behaviors.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and work with teachers on instruction.
• Support academic coaching and interpersonal development for students.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to collect and review student data.
