Job summary

City Year in New Hampshire seeks an entry-level Student Success Coach and Mentor as a full-time AmeriCorps member. You will coach and mentor students to improve attendance, literacy, math skills and positive behaviors, working with teachers to support classroom instruction.

Training is provided (2–4 weeks). Eligibility includes U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, age 17–25 by July 1, 2025, and a GED/diploma with possible college experience. Start by July/August 2025.

Qualifications

• Coaching and mentoring students to academic success.
• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with required legal status.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students 1:1 and in small groups.
• Support literacy and math skill development through varied activities.
• Create and implement behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and data.
