Job summary

City Year is seeking entry-level, paid, full-time AmeriCorps members to coach and mentor students across elementary to high school levels. You will plan progress, support teachers, and help create a positive classroom environment while engaging families and the broader school community.

Training is provided, with 2–4 weeks at the start, and ongoing support from partner teachers and school staff throughout the year. A strong commitment to service and student success is essential.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma, or higher required.
• Ability to engage and motivate students across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic performance and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and collaborate with teachers.
• Support classroom instruction and small-group activities.
• Contribute to school-wide initiatives to boost engagement and student success.

Education
