Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, Higher Education/Student Affairs, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Develops personalized learning plans for each student, monitors and adjusts strategies based on progress, and maintains comprehensive records of all interactions.
• Meets with students individually or in groups to provide academic coaching and skill enhancement.
• Collaborates with faculty, staff, and students to identify the needs of colleges and programs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of small group workshops and learning resources on a variety of academic success topics.
• Develop learning resources and activities tailored to the needs of students across all colleges.
• Tracks student usage of Academic Success Services, maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly and annual reports, and utilizes software to schedule appointments and track and analyze students.
• Assists with proctoring accommodated exams for students requiring testing accommodation. May provide support to the Campus‑Wide Tutoring Program, as needed.
• Organizes and implements outreach initiatives to raise awareness of Academic Success services among UT Health Science Center faculty, staff, and student groups.
• Refers students to various campus resources as needed, including Counseling Services/Timely Care, Disability Services, the Campus Cupboard, the Care Team, and other support services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
