Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required (transcript required).
• RN license active and unencumbered.
• Two years of relevant experience; or six years total with college coursework or related work. (Higher education nursing experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follows evidence-based methods to improve student success and retention.
• Develops and implements student success and retention plans for undergraduate nursing students.
• Manages complex student cases involving academic, financial, personal, psychosocial, and progression barriers.
• Provides tutoring on the spot as needed.
• Collaborates with faculty to identify student readiness and needs to promote success.
• Assists in development of student’s professional nurse role identity.
• Provides adjunctive workshops to facilitate socialization into the profession and nursing skills.
• Participates in pre-nursing advising and recruitment efforts.
• Maintains data on student outcomes and program effectiveness.
• Provides regular reports to leadership on outcomes and progress.
• Shares strategies and outcomes with stakeholders.
• Supports accreditation reporting and data collection related to student outcomes.
• Develops policies and procedures and workflows for student support services.
• Performs other duties and special projects.
