Job summary

The Chicago School is seeking a Learning Specialist in the Academic Support Center to deliver student-centered academic coaching for IllinoisCOM and the Master of Science in Biomedical Science program. The role is in-person at the Chicago campus with some remote work.

You will provide one-on-one and group sessions, develop individualized coaching plans, collaborate with faculty, ASC staff, and administrators to promote academic success, resilience, and equitable learning outcomes, and leverage

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, educational psychology, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in teaching and creating effective study strategies for adult learners.
• Familiarity with pre-health and health professions skills and assessments.
• Strong track record of developing and delivering training sessions and workshops for diverse audiences.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills for instructional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group academic coaching sessions to assess learning needs.
• Develop holistic coaching plans and monitor progress.
• Refer students for tutoring, mental health services, or further evaluation as appropriate.
• Advise pre-professional students on readiness for advanced programs and exams.
• Create and facilitate workshops, webinars, and interventions to improve learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with ASC staff and IllinoisCOM to promote student success and equitable access.
• Ensure ethical use of AI and emergent technologies in learning initiatives.
