Job summary

Ember Education is seeking an Academic Coach to provide proactive academic coaching and support to new, continuing, and resuming students. You will conduct orientations, assist with online and ground courses, and help students develop skills in time management, study habits, and test-taking strategies.

This on-site role emphasizes coaching across content areas and delivering workshops to improve student success while maintaining academic integrity and meeting service level agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Science, Math, English, or a medical related discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of education related work experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching/tutoring is required.
• Knowledge of APA format and online research; strong LMS knowledge (Canvas).

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive outreach and academic coaching to help students persist and address learning needs.
• Conduct orientations and seminars for new and continuing students, including online options for remote learners.
• Promote library and student support resources to enhance student success.
• Organize and document academic workshops to foster critical thinking and growth.
• Advise students on academic issues aligned with standards; support time management and study skills.
