Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 1 year of advising or student-services experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising to Dalton State College students and monitor progress.
• Counsel students on policies, major selection, and scholastic standards.
• Coach at-risk students on goal setting and success resources.
• Deliver workshops and group sessions on academic success.
• Utilize degree audits for advisees.
• Participate in college success initiatives.
• Maintain regular contact with advisees via multiple channels.
• Meet with advisees at least once per semester.
• Assist with orientation and outreach to prospective students.
• Collaborate with offices to connect students to resources.
• Serve as liaison between Advising and faculty.
• Participate in campus/community events related to academic success.
• Assist with institutional effectiveness reporting.
