Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College seeks a Student Success Advisor II to support current and prospective students, including transfer, post-bac, athletes and honors program students. This role manages a caseload to promote successful transitions and ongoing academic achievement.

Under the Director of the SSAC, the advisor will guide course selection, degree options and campus resources, and collaborate with partners to deliver student success workshops and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education or related field.
• At least two years of college academic advising experience.

Responsibilities

• Advising: provide specialized advising support to various student populations and guide course selection and degree planning.
• Communication: manage the department’s communication plan and respond to inquiries.
• Campus Engagement: refer students to campus partners and participate in campus events and workshops.
• Other duties as assigned.
