Job summary

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) in Houston seeks a dedicated Student Success Coordinator to support students from onboarding through graduation, building relationships and proactively addressing barriers to persistence and certification.

You will manage caseloads, track milestones, and collaborate with multiple departments to improve retention, certification readiness, and program completion while maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–2 years in student services, advising, career services, workforce development, recruiting, or related support role.
• 1 year in a for-profit, post-secondary educational setting preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with a student-centered approach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of students and meet defined performance metrics (retention, certification readiness, graduation progression).
• Serve as a consistent point of contact and advocate for assigned students throughout their academic journey.
• Identify and address academic and other barriers to persistence, certification readiness, and completion.
• Drive retention and certification outcomes through early intervention and milestone tracking with follow-up.
• Support accommodation requests, resource referrals, and escalation as needed.
• Accurately document all student interactions and outcomes; participate in cohort tracking, audits, and reporting.
• Assist with student success events and initiatives alongside other departments.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
