Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years teaching experience; strong behavioral intervention and management preferred.
• Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate in appropriate subject area.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities include classroom management, communication, and collaboration with families.

Responsibilities

• Administers disciplinary actions per the Code of Student Conduct and contacts homes.
• Disseminates the Code of Student Conduct to students, teachers and parents; conducts training for staff.
• Develops and oversees a school attendance plan and counsels students with absences/tardies.
• Provides preventive counseling and refers students to guidance services when appropriate.
• Initiates actions for suspensions and collaborates with staff to support positive behavior.
