Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of exemplary teaching
• Teaching certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Investigates and resolves discipline problems in a fair and just manner.
• Investigate student complaints and grievances.
• Interviews students and witnesses in disciplinary investigations.
• Adjudicate and monitor minor infractions per district policies (detentions, referrals, Saturday detention, in-school suspension).
• Maintains disciplinary records per policy and law.
• Presents the school’s case in due process for suspension/expulsion.
• Collaborates with Principal to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Develops emergency plans with administrators and safety agencies; coordinates yard duty and drills.
• Prepares and maintains required records and reports; updates curriculum knowledge.
• Communicates with families and community; coordinates with law enforcement as needed.
• Serves as liaison between school and home and between school and juvenile court.
• Participates in staff meetings and professional development to enhance administrative skills.
