Job summary

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio seeks a Student Services Advocate to provide high-level, front-line support to students and families. You will resolve inquiries related to registration, billing, and financial assistance with empathy, accuracy, and a deep knowledge of university policies.

In a fast-paced unit, you will counsel on financial aid packages, processes, and records; manage enrollment data; and collaborate with campus partners to ensure a seamless student experience from enrollment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; OR an associate degree with 1 year of customer-centric experience; OR a high school diploma with 2 years of customer-centric experience.
• Direct experience in higher education, especially in student financial aid, registration, or billing, is preferred.
• Experience with student information systems (e.g., Banner) and CRM software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, student-centered service and resolve complex inquiries via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in person.
• Counsel students and families on financial aid packages, billing statements, payment plans, and registration processes.
• Maintain records and manage enrollment forms, verifications, transcripts, and related documentation.
• Develop and deliver outreach to promote One Stop services and financial literacy; collaborate with campus partners.
