Job summary

South College is hiring a Student Success Advisor to support the student life cycle, collaborate with the Student Success team, and guide students from enrollment through ongoing academic progress. The ideal candidate will help students register for courses, set goals, and address barriers to persistence.

Responsibilities include proactive outreach to at-risk students, coordinating with campus leadership, and contributing to retention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• One to three years experience in a post-secondary setting preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the student life cycle from acceptance through enrollment to ongoing persistence.
• Coordinate with the Senior Director of Student Success on daily activities and team goals.
• Meet with student advisees to assist with course registration, goal setting, and overcoming obstacles.
• Proactively contact at-risk students weekly to provide resources and escalate issues as needed.
• Monitor progress and retention, and document outreach and activities in the campus system.
• Assist with campus events such as welcome sessions, graduation, and student programs.
