Job summary

Northwood Technical College is seeking a Nursing Program Navigator for a full-time, LTE role at any of its four campus locations in Wisconsin. The navigator will guide nursing students from enrollment through completion, coordinating outreach and support with faculty, advisors, and support services.

The position emphasizes student success, collaboration with multiple departments, and a schedule with some weekend coverage based on events and student needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent*.
• Two years related work experience.
• One year supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent**.
• Equivalent educational/occupational experience may be an Associate degree plus four years of related work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• One additional year of related work experience may be in lieu of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Strong customer service skills focusing on diversity and continuous quality improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and using technology for tasks and projects.
• Ability to obtain driver's license and insurance per College policy.
• Preferred: knowledge of student success practices and retention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Navigate students through course and program completion.
• Provide direct assistance to prospective and current students.
• Serve as liaison between students and Collegewide departments.
• Schedule and facilitate informational sessions on campus and virtually.
• Complete grant administrative and reporting activities as assigned.
• Proctor exams and support nursing students’ transition into core courses.
• Collaborate with counselors and admissions to support student success.
• Identify gaps in support and help develop strategies to improve completion.
• Maintain regular hours to assist students with college resources.
• Participate in relevant meetings like the ADN Strategic Enrollment Management Team.
