Job summary

Herzing University is seeking a Student Services Advisor to support Orlando campus students with academic and personal coaching. Role involves advising on program changes, course load, and retention strategies, with outreach to foster continued engagement through graduation.

The position requires collaboration with faculty and staff to address student needs and coordinate semester activities. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, onsite in Winter Park, FL, with potential occasional evenings

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in higher education, counseling or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least one year of relevant student support experience.
• Preferred: prior experience in post-secondary/adult learning and managing student retention.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on academic issues, program and course options, and decisions impacting academic success.
• Answer student questions and resolve basic issues related to bookstore validation and eBook use.
• Maintain student scheduling and course revisions per University standards.
• Guide students through registration prerequisites and schedule changes in the system.
• Collaborate with faculty/staff/administration to assist students with personal or academic concerns.
