Job summary

East Side House Settlement in the Bronx seeks a Student Advisor to support college and career readiness, academic progress monitoring, and social-emotional development for a caseload of about 50 students at the Alfred E. Smith YABC.

You will work with school partners, guidance counselors, and teachers to strategize post-secondary plans, monitor attendance, and provide counseling, using Salesforce and Google Suite for documentation. Evening and remote work may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires B.A./B.S.W. or equivalent and at least two years of youth services experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Teams; experience with Google Suite and Zoom preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be primary contact for a caseload of ~50 students.
• Conduct intake interviews with students and family members.
• Monitor attendance and academic progress; support social-emotional development.
• Collaborate with guidance counselors, teachers, and partner schools.
• Document interactions using Salesforce, Google Suite, and other data systems.
