East Side House is seeking a Student Advisor for the Gotham Collaborative High School site in the Bronx, NY. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on college and career readiness, academic progress monitoring, and student support within our Community School program.

Reporting to the Community School Director, you will work with students, families, and school staff to develop individualized plans, conduct regular sessions, and help students set SMART goals while maintaining accurate data

Qualifikationen

• B.A/B.S.W. with at least two years’ experience with youth-related work.
• Excellent verbal, analytical, writing, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with school-aged youth, families, and diverse communities.
• Experience in school-based settings is a plus.
• Knowledge of WordPerfect and Microsoft Word.

Aufgaben

• Primary point of contact for students, parents, and staff within the Community School.
• Conduct regular one-on-one sessions with students; help set SMART goals.
• Support college and career readiness, academic progress monitoring, and post-graduation planning.
• Document interactions in data systems; coordinate attendance outreach and events.
• Collaborate with school faculty and families to develop individualized plans.
