Job summary

New Settlement Apartments invites applications for a College and Career Advisor to support residents in pursuing higher education and career pathways. The role involves direct student advising, workshop facilitation, and coordinating access programs with a focus on equity and opportunity in the Bronx.

You will manage a caseload, collaborate with colleges and workforce partners, and ensure data-driven program improvement through Salesforce reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in college access or college counseling in educational nonprofits is preferred.
• Knowledge of FAFSA, TAP and financial aid processes is desirable.
• Experience with data tracking and reporting in education programs is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships with schools, colleges, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized college and career advising to a caseload of 90–100.
• Coordinate college access events, workshops, and College Explorers activities.
• Maintain accurate program data in Salesforce and other systems.
• Analyze data to inform program planning and show outcomes.
• Develop relationships with colleges, financial aid offices, and workforce partners.
