Job summary

The Advisor will coordinate day-to-day advising tasks, lead workshops, participate in hiring/onboarding, and collaborate with campus units to enhance student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
• Working knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with diverse groups.
• Interpersonal and cross-cultural skills to support a diverse student population.
• Ability to analyze complex advising problems and provide effective resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of advising services to undergraduate students (NFRS, ICT/TRAN, visiting).
• Develop, support, and implement comprehensive academic advising programs and workshops.
• Lead, organize, and evaluate school-wide advising events and orientations.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of new advisors and ongoing training of the advising team.
• Collaborate with campus units to support student success and program development.
• Communicate policies to students and faculty; manage degree progression reviews.
