Job summary

Timberline High School is seeking a Paraeducator (Special Education) for the 2026-27 school year to support instructional and supervisory duties for students with special needs, often in one-on-one or small-group settings under the guidance of certificated staff.

The position is 6.5 hours per day, 189 days per year, with duties including health assistance, behavior support, and collaboration with teachers to implement IEP goals and create inclusive learning environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits or Para Pro test.
• May be required to be certified in first aid, CPR, or defibrillators.
• Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in assessment, curriculum implementation, student interactions, and behavior management.
• Provide instruction and support in 1:1 or small group settings to students with special needs.
• Assist with daily living tasks and health-related duties as directed by health staff.
• Support implementation of IEP/504 plans and safety procedures in classroom and school settings.
• Document student progress and communicate with teachers and families as appropriate.
