Job summary

Mountain View High School is seeking a Special Education Paraeducator to support students under the supervision of the Special Education instructor and building principal. You will provide one-to-one and small-group instruction, assist with data collection, and help implement IEP goals in a structured classroom environment.

Position is part-time, 6 hours daily (8:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.), 190 days per year, with a potential pathway to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Provide special education services and supports as directed by the teacher.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Assist in one-to-one and small-group instruction aligned to IEPs.
• Maintain data and assist with progress toward goals.
• Meet Washington State Paraeducator qualifications or higher per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Special Education teacher, deliver services to eligible students.
• Provide one-to-one and group instruction to meet individualized education programs.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a productive learning environment.
• Assess progress and collect data to inform IEP goals.
• Follow behavioral management plans and prepare instructional materials.
