Job summary

Seven Oaks Elementary invites applicants for a Paraeducator (Special Education) starting in 2026-27. This 6.5-hour day role supports students with special needs under supervision, in diverse classroom settings, with duties ranging from instructional support to health-related assistance.

The position emphasizes collaboration with teachers and adherence to district policies. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and may require additional education or ParaPro testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s Degree or 72 quarter credits or ETS Para Pro test required.
• May be certified or to become certified in first aid, CPR, and/or defibrillators.
• Experience working with culturally diverse communities or commitment to engaging diverse populations.
• Ability to manage interruptions and maintain punctual attendance.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in standard office software and SIS tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with assessment, curriculum implementation, and student support in various settings.
• Provide daily living assistance and health-related tasks as directed by health staff.
• Teach independent living skills and support social development.
• Support safety and behavior plans and intervene when necessary.
• Assist with supervision during transitions and travel to activities.
• Document student behavior and progress for education plans.
• Assist with light clerical duties and record-keeping.
