Miami University seeks a Student Services Technician in the Admissions Office Administration. This regular, hourly role supports daily operations across Admissions, Registrar and Student Financial Aid with a 30-hour weekly schedule August through Mid-May each year.
Responsibilities include visit-line management, front desk coverage, calendar management, and administrative support. A background check is required and the campus promotes inclusive, smoke-free environments.

Performs a variety of moderately complex administrative tasksrequiring some independent judgment related to ensuring thesuccessful completion of the daily operations of Admission,Registrar and Student Financial Assistance. This position works 30 hours per week from August to Mid May eachyear.
Assist in the daily management of the visit phone line byidentifying the customers’ needs and directing callers to ensureimpeccable customer service and timely response rate to allinquiries and concerns related to the visit experience.
Assist the Senior Visit Coordinator, including front desk coverage,room scheduling, coordinating faculty appointments, etc.
Provide administrative support including calendar management,triaging calls, preparing agendas for meetings, as well as otherduties as requested.

Maintains complete, accurate, and up-to-date files and computerdatabases on students.
Serves as informational resource for students and parents;investigates and resolves problems and difficulties regardingadmission, registration and financial assistance. Interpretspolicies and procedures.
Assist students and parents in various routine and non-routineactivities regarding admissions, registration, and financialassistance.
Performs a variety of intermediate to complex administrative taskswhich may include process admission applications, credentials, anddecisions; registration, course evaluation, classroom schedulingand evaluate transfer coursework; process student loanapplications, monitoring loan progress, and process scholarshipapplication.
Monitors and reviews projects; ensures all necessary changes aremade. Gathers and analyzes statistical information regardingadmission, registrar and student financial assistance's programsand activities; produces reports.
Performs a variety of administrative tasks including answeringphones, typing, coordinating bulk mailings, ordering supplies andcopying.
Other duties as assigned.
