Job summary

Newark Board of Education is seeking a Supervisor – Student Support Services to lead district-wide student support programs, ensure compliance, and supervise staff.

The role requires a Master’s degree, NJ Principal/Supervisor license, and at least 3 years of district leadership experience. You will coordinate professional development, collaborate with community partners, and report to the Director of Student Support Services.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• NJ Principal/Supervisor license (Preferred) and/or Supervisor Standard license.
• Minimum of three years in district level administration.
• Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards for curriculum, assessment and instruction.
• Ability to plan, organize and administer district-level professional development.

Responsibilities

• Supports and directs planning, development, organization, management and implementation of student service programs.
• Directs staff development, compliance, and reporting on programs and services.
• Collaborates with community agencies to meet pupils' needs and resolves grievances.
• Establishes organizational systems and district/departmental goals.
• Communicates effectively to promote student achievement and professional growth.
