Newark Board of Education invites qualified candidates for the position of Supervisor - Student Support Services. This role oversees district student services, including HIB, Title IX, mentoring, and intervention supports, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• NJDOE Principal Standard and/or Supervisor Standard license preferred.
• NJ School Counselor or School Social Worker certificate preferred.
• Minimum of three years' district administration experience.
• Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
• Ability to plan and administer district-level professional development.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coach staff and district student services programs (HIB, Title IX, mentoring, intervention supports).
• Assist in evaluation; maintain accurate records and reports.
• Develop and monitor district/department goals and processes.
• Coordinate with community agencies to meet student needs.
• Communicate with parents to discuss program implementation and grievances.
