Job summary

Universal Technical Institute, Inc. in San Bernardino, CA seeks a Reentry Advisor to support student retention by maintaining regular contact with former, absent, and at-risk students to encourage persistence and return to school.

This role conducts outreach, provides information on available resources, coordinates re-entry opportunities, tracks engagement, and collaborates with campus leadership and student services to promote positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum two years’ relevant work experience in student services, admissions, or retention is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily outreach to former students via phone calls, email, text, and other methods to encourage re-entry and enrollment.
• Maintain ongoing contact with prospective re-entry students and document outreach activities and outcomes.
• Meet with students considering withdrawal to discuss resources and re-entry steps.
• Contact absent students to identify barriers and provide support resources.
• Participate in weekly campus accountability meetings and report on outreach activities and progress.
• Support re-entry initiatives and retention efforts to increase re-enrollment.
• Assist Student Affairs in connecting students with internal and external support services.
• Provide excellent customer service to students, alumni, and community partners while maintaining confidentiality.
