Job summary

  • Maintain ongoing contact with prospective re-entry students and document outreach activities and outcomes.
  • Meet with students considering withdrawal to discuss resources and re-entry steps.
  • Contact absent students to identify barriers and provide support resources.
  • Participate in weekly campus accountability meetings and report on outreach activities and progress.
  • Support re-entry initiatives and retention efforts to increase re-enrollment.
  • Assist Student Affairs in connecting students with internal and external support services.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, alumni, and community partners while maintaining confidentiality.

Overview

The Reentry Advisor supports student retention and re-enrollment efforts by maintaining regular contact with former, absent, and at-risk students to encourage persistence and successful return to school. This role conducts outreach, provides information on available resources, coordinates re-entry opportunities, and assists students in overcoming barriers to enrollment. Working closely with campus leadership and student services teams, the Reentry Advisor tracks student engagement activities, supports retention initiatives, and helps promote positive student outcomes.


Pay Range: $24.00 - $26.00


Location: San Bernadino, CA

Responsibilities


  • Conduct daily outreach to former students through phone calls, email, text messages, and other communication methods to encourage re-entry and continued enrollment

  • Maintain ongoing contact with prospective re-entry students and document outreach activities, follow-up efforts, and outcomes in designated systems

  • Meet with students who are considering withdrawal to discuss available resources, re-entry opportunities, and next steps for returning to school

  • Contact absent students to identify barriers to attendance, provide support resources, and encourage continued participation

  • Participate in weekly campus accountability meetings and provide updates on student outreach activities and re-entry progress

  • Support campus re-entry initiatives and retention efforts designed to increase student re-enrollment and persistence

  • Assist the Student Affairs team in connecting students with internal and external support services that promote student success and re-entry goals

  • Provide excellent customer service to students, alumni, and community partners while promoting student success and retention while adhering to confidentiality requirements and company policies

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education / Experience


  • HS Diploma / GED (required)

  • Associate degree in related field (preferred)

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ professionally relevant work experience (required); Specific experience in student services, admissions, or student retention (preferred)

Work Environment


  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment when on site at assigned company location. Employees must be able to safely ambulate when on company premises.

  • This position is designated as On Campus or On site; Work environments may include exposure to student learning environments with a variety of conditions. Employees must be able to follow all safety precautions including the use of personal-protective equipment. Employees must also be able to adhere to site-specific safety procedures.
