Job summary

ASU EdPlus is seeking a Student Support Specialist 2 to connect undergraduate and graduate students with academic and personal services, helping them persist toward graduation.

You will conduct proactive outreach, assess barriers to re-enrollment, and tailor guidance on financial, academic, and personal pathways, collaborating with colleges and advising partners to ensure students access the right resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Demonstrated strong customer service orientation with a commitment to helping others; experience in coaching, advising, or education preferred.
• Evidence of excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively and with empathy.
• Experience supporting online programs and working with students in a higher education environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with large populations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Engages in proactive outreach to help students return to ASU programs.
• Coaches students on planning academic and career goals.
• Reviews degree information and remaining credits; connects with advising.
• Collaborates with financial aid, student services, and academic units to support re-entry.
• Provides ongoing support from initial contact through first week back in class.
