Job summary

Corewell Health’s Royal Oak Hospital seeks a part-time radiology technician to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under supervision. You will ensure patient safety and quality images, coordinate with the radiography team, and maintain equipment readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma, completion of the first year of an accredited imaging program, and BLS certifications (CRT or ARC). On-site scheduling allows flexible weekend rotation and involvement in trauma imaging as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and first year of accredited imaging program completed.
• CRT-BLS or ARC-BLS required upon hire.
• 1 year of relevant imaging experience preferred.

Scope of Work

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, performs diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Assume responsibility and maintains the general care and safety of patients during imaging procedures.
• Assures equipment/supplies are present and accounted for at beginning and end of each imaging procedure.
• Under direct or indirect supervision of a registered radiographer, coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, trauma and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must have completed the first year of an accredited imaging program.
• Preferred CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association.
• Upon Hire required.
• Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross.
• Upon Hire required.
