Job summary

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic exams across general radiology, ensuring image quality and patient safety.

The role includes night shifts with varying hours and every third weekend, with requirements for a JRCERT-accredited radiography program, ARRT CRT registration and BLS at hire. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for external hires.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program.
  • ARRT CRT-Radiologic Technologist registration within 180 days after hire.
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) required upon hire.
  • CRT-BLS (AHA or ARC) required upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology.
  • Apply radiation protection principles and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain high-quality images and provide instruction as appropriate.

Today, the hospital is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital has 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows. Corewell is the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with more than 1,400 doctors on faculty.

Scope of work

Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation. Applies principles of radiation protection and complies with regulations. Assumes responsibility for designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. Follows Corewell health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications
  • Required Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • Training gained at student level. Required
  • CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 180 Days required
  • CRT-Radiographer (R) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
