Job summary

Belmont University in Nashville is seeking a Program Assistant & Student Support to provide administrative, student services, and operational support for the Watkins College of Art. This role serves as the primary point of contact for the college's main office with front-office coordination and student advising support.

The position includes recruiting and supervising student workers, coordinating facilities requests, and assisting with events and special projects alongside college leadership.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of higher education or administrative experience.
  • Background check and E-Verify compliance required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for current students with information on programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate advising events, registrations, orientation, and recruitment activities; manage student records.
  • Greet visitors, answer phones and email, and ensure efficient office operations with strong customer service.
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and supervise student workers.
  • Maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence, and manage filing systems.
  • Coordinate orientations, open houses, exhibitions, and college events; assist with event logistics.
  • Collaborate with Dean's Office and leadership to support college operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
