Responsibilities

Provide academic and career counseling to new and prospective students; explain policies, procedures, and program requirements.
Advise students in developing career and academic plans and selecting courses.
Counsel with students to address barriers and connect them with support services.
Review placement results, interpret assessments, and administer standardized tests if needed.
Maintain advising records, prepare reports, and update student progress databases.
Develop workshops, training modules, and informational materials for student guidance.
Communicate important information to students via email, phone, and in person; respond promptly.
