Portland Community College seeks a dynamic Pathway Advisor — Academic Advising Specialist to support student goals, create academic plans, and inform students about credit and non‑credit options. The role requires building strong relationships with faculty, staff and administrators while addressing equity and access across pathways.

Support includes virtual, in-person, phone, and email advising, with some evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of professional experience in an educational setting providing academic advising or related student services.
• Ability to advise on credit and non‑credit programs and support equitable access.

Responsibilities

• Provide asset-based academic advising and retention services.
• Help students develop long- and short-term academic plans.
• Engage with students via virtual, in-person, phone, and email modalities.
