University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) seeks a Coordinator or Senior Coordinator to support over 470 RSOs. The role involves managing RSO registration and overseeing SORCE, providing training to student leaders, and ensuring compliance with university policies and laws.

The Senior Coordinator serves as a point of contact for elevated RSO issues and edits guiding documents. The position includes collaboration with campus partners, risk management, and assessments to improve student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years full‑time experience with student organizations or 9 months graduate assistant experience.
• Experience with student organization registration and advising.
• Experience supervising student staff and managing multiple tasks independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to translate student development and leadership theory into practice.
• Experience with marketing programs to appeal to commuter student populations.
• Understanding of risk management and budgeting for student programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the RSO registration process for returning and new student organizations.
• Oversee operations of the Student Organization Resource Center (SORCE).
• Provide consultations and training to student leaders on RSO functions and University resources.
• Form collaborative partnerships to enhance student community and engagement.
• Conduct risk management and ensure services are delivered within budget and assessed for impact.
• Serve as point of contact for elevated RSO issues and participate in the Student Free Expressive Response Team.
• Edit guiding documents such as the RSO Manual and mandatory training curriculum.
• Analyze and report on overall RSO assessments.
