Job summary

Syracuse University seeks a Recognized Student Organizations Coordinator to advise RSOs, promote compliance and risk management, and support campus programs through guidance on university policies and event contracting. You will assist with RSO recognition, roster management in Anthology/Cuse Activities, officer trainings, and promotional efforts, with occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Bachelor’s degree required; preferred experience planning and executing student events.
Knowledge of university policies and procedures related to student organizations.
Ability to work with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

Serve as a consultant to RSOs and be the primary point of contact for a subset of the University’s 250+ RSOs.
Support planning and implementation of programs and events, including budgeting, logistics, and risk management.
Educate on university policies to ensure compliance and organizational success.
Manage funding requests, contracting, purchasing, and expenditure tracking from the Student Activity Fee.
Support officer selection through elections training and leadership development.
